Bellingham Public Schools offers an inclusive preschool program for 3 to 5 year old Bellingham residents.

  Now in it's 21st year, the Bellingham Early Childhood Program is a fully accredited inclusion preschool program that recognizes that parents are the first teachers of their children.  The program follows the guidelines of the Massachusetts Preschool Learning Experiences and Standards.  These standards are recognized by the NAEYC, a nationally accreditation organization for preschools and daycare.  We work with families of children ages three through five forming a partnership for quality education and care.  Our staff values the uniqueness of each child and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, positive environment.  Focusing on a balance of activities appropriate for young children, the curriculum gives equal regard to all areas of development: cognitive, social, emotional aesthetic, and physical.

Bellingham Public School’s Early Childhood Program will conduct monthly developmental screenings for 3 and 4-year-old children residing in Bellingham.  Parents and teachers of preschoolers are encouraged to inquire about screenings if they feel the child is experiencing a developmental delay or other educational concerns.  Please contact the preschool office at 508-966-2512 for appointment

Current and ongoing Fundraisers at BECP

We try to limit the amount and type of fundraisers that we do each year.  All proceeds are deposited in our Parent Fund which we use to purchase playground equipment, provide family entertainment and other necessities that benefit students that our budget does not cover. Fundraisers are never mandatory and we do not support door to door sales of any fundraising products. 

*  UNO's Fundraiser - The first Tuesday of each month is designated "Preschool Day" at UNO's.  Have lunch or dinner at Uno's and BECP receives up to 20% of your bill.  Uno's offers lots of delicious food choices for children as well as entertainment at your table on Tuesday nights.  It's fun for the whole family.  Also good on take out orders. Coupons will be sent home several days ahead of time.

*  Scrip Fundraiser Information - Buy your gift cards at Preschool and the school will receive a percentage of the sales.  There is no additional cost to you and there is no selling involved.   For a list of additional retailers not included on the order form, please go to www.glscrip.com.  Order forms are available here and also available in the preschool office.  Orders will be placed twice a month initially, if need be, a more frequent schedule will be implemented.  This fundraiser will run all school year long.  Plan ahead for birthdays and holidays...

* Yankee Candle Fundraiser  - This fundraiser was  a huge success...orders have been delivered and we hope everyone enjoys their products.  Look for another Yankee catalog in the spring.

*School Photos - Photos were taken the week of November 3rd.  You will receive your proofs in the next week or so, you will then have the opportunity to order your packets based on your proofs.  The photographer has promised delivery by the holidays.  BECP receives a percentage of all portrait packages orders.

This report card contains information required by the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for our school and districtincluding: teacher qualifications; student achievement on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS); and school/district accountability.
