Welcome to South Elementary School's website! South Elementary School opened in 1989. The school has 22 classrooms with an enrollment of 444 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. The mission of South Elementary School is to provide a creative, supportive learning environment that meets the needs of individual students in which we maximize achievement, promote social competency, respect similarities as well as differences, and develop life-long learners who contribute positively to the community. South Elementary School a great place to be. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring that each child meets his or her full potential. Our goal is to create a positive school environment in which all children can learn and celebrate their accomplishments. Our PAWS program (Positive Actions and Words at South) promotes the development of positive social competency skils. Students and staff have committed to treat one another in the way we want to be treated, be safe, include others, be kind, be honest, and be respectful.
